Coming together. Letting loved ones know how it feels to be me

I am still looking for space to start having support group meetings on the North/ Southeast side.  Stay tuned.  The group is not only for consumers of bipolar but for people in our support system as well.  Positive support people.  I say that because I know I can sometimes bring my own self down.  I am my worst enemy at times, that’s why I have to evaluate relationships, keep the positive and let the rope go of the negative that is causing me to sink.

Anyone interested in attending A Mental Health Seminar?

The goal is to bring together consumers like us with bipolar and other mood disorders together with people who are in our lives, but don’t understand what it is like for us and we don’t understand what it is like for them to watch what we go through feeling the way they feel.  They might be angry, hurt or feel helpless to help us.

A mental health professional will there to answer questions.  I will be giving a brief history of my life with bipolar (maybe, if I don’t chicken out, and hopefully some of you will share as well).  Education brings understanding  and together it gives us the support we need and the answers our loved ones need.

Slated for early October.  More information to follow.  I need to get a general idea how many people are interested in attending so I can know what room size to reserve.

Love to all

There will be light refreshments and literature.  If anyone is interested, it will be sometime in October.  Please send me an email of interest with preferably time of day (so I can get some idea of the size room to reserve).  email:

I finally accepted what people have been telling me. I am full of knowledge and wisdom and I am unforgettable. My word of encouragement since 2015 has been to let others know, despite the waves and ripples in our lives, Life is totally awesome, even with a mental illness. I believe my purpose is to encourage others, advocate for those around me who have not yet found their voice to advocate for themselves and educate those without a mental illness. If for one for minute someone laughs or smiles because of something I said, that is one moment they did not think about mental illness.
